CB750 RestoMod

Honda got a lot right with the CB750 so we don't need to erase that identity, just a slight refresh to bring it up to date and a full compliment of performance mods - from the big bore, high compression, performance cammed engine breathing through race carbs, to the wide rims in more modern sizing for optimal tyre choice and handling, the upgraded suspension package and a solid electrical system. Built to ride, like all of our bikes, the RestoMod gives modern performance wrapped in a blend of classic and modern styling.

CB550 - The Cafe

Not a full nut and bolt rebuild like the 750 above, this 550 is the bike that inspired the RestoMod. The striking original Honda Sunrise Orange paint was in good shape, as was the rest of the bike. A fairly basic frame chop and hoop job topped off with a custom seat, followed by the usual clip-on bars and bolt on rearsets transform the look and feel of the bike. But the real magic is in the wide rim conversion, worked suspension and one heck of an engine built - sticking with the original carbs on this one, trading a little extra horsepower for better road manners. Build up some revs and you get to hear the engine come on song through the stainless exhaust system, a replica Yoshimura style customised with a Lossa engineering muffler. This is an absolute hoot to blast around town on.

Laverda 500 Twin - The Racer

We could go and compete on a common Ducati. But what would be more fun is to take the Laverda Montjuic 500cc parallel twin, and build that into a Ducati beating, Paton chasing machine. It took a couple years of development, and that process is ongoing, but we are pretty comfortable in saying this is hands down the fastest Laverda 500 twin in the country - check out our Retro Moto Racing  facebook page for up to date info on our progress, and check back through some of our past exploits. There are some big changes coming soon, and with our own Dynojet 250i Dynamometer in house now we can tune it to perfection and simulate the long hard runs we put it through at Phillip Island, Eastern Creek and The Bend without having to leave the workshop. Racing the local tracks is one thing, but taking it to the Eastern States and beyond is another, so we make sure to be ready for anything!
