The Triumph Rickman Metisse 750cc Tiger from 1973 was a unique machine, combining the classic Triumph parallel-twin engine with a lightweight, high-performance Rickman Metisse frame. It was essentially a custom-built motorcycle, popular for its handling and racing pedigree

The Rickman Metisse frame, constructed from Reynolds 531 chrome-molybdenum tubing, was lighter and more rigid than standard frames, contributing to the bike's agility and handling

The frame also acted as the oil tank for the dry-sump engine, reducing weight and complexity

Rickman Metisse frames were highly regarded for their racing capabilities, and this model was often seen on the track

  • The 1973 Triumph Tiger 750 was a single-carburetor version of the twin-carb Bonneville T140, sharing the same engine and running gear.
  • It featured a five-speed gearbox (indicated by the "V" in TR7V).
  • The Tiger 750 was known for its lively and tractable performance, as well as its handling
